The Chevrolet Cruze is a sub-compact crossover sport utility vehicle produced by General Motors, a parent company of Chevrolet.
The initial model was manufactured by Suzuki under joint venture with General Motors.

First Generation (2001-2008)
The first generation Chevy Cruze was introduced in 2001 as 2002 model. It was first shown at Tokyo Motor Show in Japan. It was offered in either front wheel drive or in four wheel drive.
Sales of the model began from November, 2001. It was also sold as Holden Cruze in Australian market.

Second Generation (2009-Present)
The second generation Chevrolet Cruze is also called as Holden Cruze and Daewoo Lacetti Premiere. The predecessor models to the SUV include Daewoo Lacetti and Chevrolet Cobalt. The compact car is offered as only 4-door sedan model. It is designed and produced based on the General Motors Delta 2 platform.
As far as the dimensions of the current Cruze model are concerned, it has the wheel base of 105.7 inches, length of 181.0 inches, width of 70.4 inches and height of 58.1 inches. The compact crossover SUV is related to Opel Astra. The Chevrolet Cruze released in 2008 filled the gap left by Daewoo Lacetti and Chevrolet Cobalt SUVs.

The available standard features on all the Cruze models include navigation system with real time traffic information, satellite radio, audio system, air conditioning with auto climate control and leather upholstery. Safety features offered include traction control, antiskid system, curtain side air bags, front side air bags, antilock braking system, rear view camera and tire pressure monitoring system.
